Vatican issues key bioethics document on life dignity
The Vatican's Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith released The Dignity of a Person, reaffirming opposition to embryo use in stem cell research cloning and IVF while leaving embryo adoption open to debate. The text aligns with the Pontifical Academy for Life, linking scientific advances to human dignity and opposing contraception methods that imply abortion.
