A shooting at The Spot nightclub on 1080 Womrath Road in North Augusta left three people wounded in the predawn hours Saturday. Former employees of the Aiken County Hospital gathered at St. John's United Methodist Church for a hospital wide reunion. They recollect when meals were donated and male patients could not be tended by nurses. The 80 attendees shared memories from 1946 onward, noting women and men’s roles, early supply gaps, and the hospital's 1917 opening, 1924 closure, and 1927 reopening with funds from locals and officials.
