Aiken County considers Mall redevelopment dam repairs and chickens
Aiken County Council will review a memorandum of understanding with SE Aiken LLC to redevelop the Aiken Mall with at least 25 million dollars in investment. The panel examines a Langley Pond dam repair bid from Crowder Construction totaling 13.53 million and a land purchase for dam support. A public hearing will address a proposed ordinance allowing chickens in most zoning districts with limits on coop placement and flock size. The meeting starts at 7 p.m. at the Government Center.
