A wide range of crimes reported across Aiken County include a 400 dollar loss from a burglary on Pacer Park Lane and a 2200 dollar spree with jewelry thefts in North Augusta and Beech Island. Assaults occurred on Burnette Street and Carey Drive, with property damage and numerous larcenies noted on Newman Circle, Carriage Hill Place, and other local roads. A counterfeit fifty was passed on Wagoner Road, and a vehicle fire caused 15000 dollars in losses on Mount Pleasant Road.

Aiken County Sheriff's Office reports an armed robbery Saturday at Bryant's on Edgefield Road North Augusta. A black man 40 to 47, about 6 ft 2 in, 160 lb, wearing a red stocking cap and green army jacket demanded cash and fled toward Johnson Road. Tips call 642-1761 or Crime Stoppers at 642-1798 for rewards.
