Waynesboro Man Charged With Assault After Manhunt
A 27 year old Waynesboro man Rodney Dukes faces assault and battery charges after shoving a state trooper and fleeing during a traffic stop. Dukes was pursued by ACSO state patrol and the Aiken Bloodhound Team and captured after a brief chase near Jefferson Davis Highway. The driver Willie McDowell Jr. was arrested for driving under suspension. Additional charges against Dukes pending.
