The Reagan administration will limit a major shift in Medicare hospital payments to hospital based specialists. Health Secretary Otis Bowen accepted a scaled back compromise targeting radiologists, anesthesiologists and pathologists.
Ford Motor Co and Chrysler Corp officials told a Senate hearing they will install driver side air bags in a substantial number of 1990 model cars. They expect more than 2 million cars with air bags by 1990, contingent on extending the passive restraint deadline.
