22 year old dies after ejecting from uncle's car crash
A Grovetown man, Juan E Arreoloa Olvera aged 22, died after being ejected from his uncle's vehicle in a crash on Trolley Line Road Graniteville. The 2001 Jetta overturned after a passing attempt on a 2006 Dodge truck driven by Danny Boatwright. Coroner Tim Carlton said Olvera was not wearing a seat belt.

The City of Aiken opened Hopelands Gardens for Christmas in Hopelands with about 20 000 lights on from 6 to 9 30 p m Saturday drawing 1000 to 1500 visitors per night. Volunteers from South Aiken High School and Aiken Garden Clubs Council helped, hosting an Artisan Showcase and children's activities at Rye Patch Reception Center and the Dollhouse. The Town of Jackson seeks a tax increment financing district to back a planned supermarket and a 50 acre redevelopment area along Atomic Road and Tisdale Street.
