Driver given 12 year term for DUI death at Aiken Courthouse

William Brandon Taylor, 24, of North Augusta, received a 12 year sentence after pleading to causing death by vehicle under the influence and failing to stop. The June 2007 crash near Belvedere Baptist Church killed Cody Plowden, 17, as four occupants were ejected following a high speed chase. Taylor had a .083 blood alcohol content and tested positive for marijuana.
