GWTW 50th anniversary events in Atlanta draw look alike Rhett and Scarlett pairs

Atlanta hosts a gala week to commemorate the Gone With the Wind 50th anniversary. Organizers invite five Rhett Butler and Scarlett look-alikes while 11 surviving cast members share memories from the 1939 film. A private reunion Thursday precedes a recreation of the world premiere on December 15, 1939. The original premiere was the era’s biggest social event in the city.

Aiken Parade Rescheduled Amid Weather Cancellations

The Aiken Jaycees Christmas parade, canceled Saturday due to bad weather, is rescheduled for Tuesday at 7 PM with lineup 6 to 6:30 PM. A new rain date is Sunday Dec 17 at 2 PM, with lineup then at 1 PM.
