Bus Strikes Chevrolet Injuring Col D W Gaston
A Camel City Coach Company bus struck a Chevrolet coupe carrying Col D W Gaston and his son near Hayne Avenue and the Augusta Aiken highway. Col Gaston was badly cut and taken home after a period of unconsciousness but recovered. Gaston Jr. had minor bruises and the car was demolished.

Ridgley Hall Fire Destroys Wealthy New Jersey Home
The Ridgley Hall residence of Mr and Mrs Winthrop Rutherford of Allamuchy New Jersey burned from about 1130 pm Wednesday until nearly daybreak. Firemen fought a wind driven blaze with a brick stucco exterior hindering access. Insurance stood at 50000 with 15000 on furniture though losses exceeded that. Furniture and valuables were saved by onlookers and aid from Aiken and New Yorkers.

Mrs Peter Huff Dies After Lingering Illness At Home
Mrs Peter Huff died on November 1st at the home of her son Milledge Huff after a lingering illness. She was eighty three and born Winnie Barton in Shilo h community. She lived in Shiloh and Rocky Springs and was a member of Rocky Springs church. Remains laid to rest in Rocky Springs cemetery with funeral by Rev J P Dendy. She leaves three sons Adbert Milledge and WH Hot twelve grandchildren and many friends.

County Agent C Lee Gowan spent 18 days in the county visiting farmers and 9 in the office. He met 46 farmers, gave seven addresses, attended five meetings, and spoke at three. Death of Haviland Stevenson Former Aiken man
Haviland Stevenson once of Aiken died in Boston Massachusetts on December 1 at age 65 after a long illness. He was a leading figure in publishing serving over twenty years as president of the Nicor Hurdette firm, one of the county’s largest book concerns. He leaves Wellington Stevenson of Denver and a sister Miss Bertha Stevenson of Boston and Aiken. Interment was in Charleston with many firm members accompanying the remains. Dr H J Roy met the funeral party in Charleston.
