Public Safety seeks suspects in assault and shoplifting
The Aiken Department of Public Safety identifies two suspects, Darryl Raw Smith and Katrina Erica Galloway, for an assault and shoplifting at Belk in Aiken Mall on November 24. Smith allegedly stole merchandise and fled with Galloway after pepper spray was used. Crime Stoppers offers anonymity and up to $1,000 reward for information.

Warrenville Man Arrested for Third Degree Assault on Carolina Street
Steven Alexander Moment, 28, of 101 Carolina Street, was arrested Thursday and is held at Aiken County detention center on third degree assault and battery charges. The victim says Moment evicted from the home tried to grab a witness purse while groceries were being unloaded, punching her in the face and causing swelling to the right eye. Deputies located Moment nearby after patrolling the area.

Two men linked to stolen gun and vehicle at Aiken gas station
North Augusta resident William Ready, 21, was arrested at Edgefield Highway in Aiken after deputies found a stolen handgun and a stolen GMC truck near a diesel pump. A warrant was issued for Willie Bottoms, 28, of North Augusta, for possession of a stolen vehicle as he fled the scene.
