Judge sets new deposition date in Hicks case in Aiken
Aiken County judge agreed to move Lakeya Hicks and Elijah Pontoon deposition dates after Hicks had not yet been deposed. The suit, filed September 2015, accuses the City of Aiken and multiple officers of an unconstitutional search during a 2014 traffic stop on Horry Street near Richland Avenue. Pontoon was deposed May 6. Hicks is now scheduled for December 21 with a 45 day discovery extension and 60 days for expert testimony.
