Preliminary hearings continued in Aiken shooting case
Preliminary hearings for four men charged in the August Union Academy Road shooting rampage continued for the third time at the Doris C. Gray Detention Center. Willie Ware II and Edward Walker face murder and assault with intent to kill in the death of carrier Debra Dorch and injury to delivery worker Joseph Brewer. The delays stem from an unavailable investigating officer as victims seek updates and a quicker path to trial.
