Crescent design replaced for Sept 11 memorial in Pennsylvania
Designers of a Flight 93 memorial replace a crescent of trees with a bowl shaped land centerpiece. The new plan keeps a 40 chimes tower and a walkway to a field ringed by 40 maple groves honoring the 40 passengers and crew. Local relatives welcome changes while stressing respectful tribute to Flight 93 victims.
