Death of Sears worker tied to shoplifting in Columbia
An 81 year old Sears sales associate Duaine Hamilton died after two men struck him down while stealing televisions at a Columbia South Carolina store. Jeffrey Simmons 58 and Jason Randolph 40 were arrested on murder and strong arm robbery charges. Hamilton a retired Air Force veteran and AT&T employee had worked at Sears 13 years. Security video aided the investigation though records were withheld out of respect for the family.
