Southern Studies Showcase to feature fifteen genealogy workshops
The Old Edgefield District Genealogical Society and Edgefield Civic League host the sixth annual Southern Studies Showcase in Edgefield on Sept. 15 and 16. Fifteen workshops with local and out of town speakers cover topics from Native American history to DNA aided research and Civil War era records. A Victorian era block party, kiln opening, and two Lunch and a Lecture sessions enhance the event. Registration runs to Sept. 8 with tiered fees and meals included only for early signups.
