Retired Colonel Leads New Band of Musicians in Aiken
Col Bill Clark, a former commander of the US Army Field Band, now conducts the Aiken Community Band. The group, about 80 strong, features engineers, physicians, educators, ecologists, bankers, homemakers and students. They perform at Hopelands Gardens and other venues, with Clark guiding a varied program including a Christmas concert and spring formal at the Etherredge Center.
