Nix seeks chairmanship of Aiken County GOP

Environmental scientist and elections official David Nix plans to run for chairman of the Aiken County Republican Party. He competes with incumbent Diane Giddings as Republicans pick a new leader at the county convention on October 16 at Midland Valley High School. Nix, 44, is a native of Aiken County and a 1973 Aiken High School graduate. He holds biology degrees and works as an environmental scientist at the Savannah River Site.
