Pete Rose, at 44, drew a bases loaded walk in the 12th inning to give the Reds a 7 4 victory over the St. Louis Cardinals. Cincinnati erased a six run third inning by Andujar and then halted the Cards’ lead in the NL East. Rose remained within nine of Ty Cobb’s all time hits record as the Reds snapped a six game win streak. Willie McGee and Terry Pendleton provided earlier support with two run singles in the third.
