Casper Led Coastal Carolina Path From Back Door Rise

Aiken High Grid Games Get New Parking Rules

Aiken Public Safety will implement uniform parking for Hagood Stadium football games this year. Vehicles enter via Teague Street until the home side lot fills, then traffic shifts to the opposite lots. Parents should drop children at the scoreboard end, circulate, and exit. pickup ends by 10 30 p.m. to save costs for the school board.

Two More Charged In Burning Case In Aiken County

Aiken County authorities charge Billy Hamilton and Judy Henson with accessory before the fact and conspiracy to defraud an insurance company in a Pontiac fire near Indian Springs Road on May 16 1978. Six warrants were issued for related defendants including Jeff Henson Jamie Heath and two Baughmans with bonds set at 10000 and 5000. Sheriff Grant noted no further personnel actions were planned and SLED will evaluate the deputy’s involvement.

Officer Suspended For Week In Public Safety Incident

Aiken Public Safety officer Frank Howard, 28, was suspended for one week without pay and placed on probation after an internal investigation. The incident stemmed from disorderly conduct on August 18 in Augusta, per a statement from DPS Director J. Carrol Busbee.
