Gasoline prices dip to 1978 low ahead of Labor Day

AAA Carolina Motor Club says fuel prices ahead of Labor Day are the lowest since 1978 at about 92 cents in North Carolina and 90 cents in South Carolina, with declines driven by self service and a 29.8 cent price gap between full and self service. Prices expected to rise after September 1 due to OPEC production cuts.

Americans Question Soviets in Territorial Expansion and Terrorism

Wickes May Sweeten Bid for Owens Corning Fiberglas

Wickes Cos Inc may raise its 74 dollar per share offer for Owens Corning Fiberglas and seeks negotiations after the 2.1 billion takeover bid was rejected.
