Court sentences in Aiken County youth and adult cases
The court handed youths under the Youthful Offender Act and adults lengthy sentences on charges including assault with intent to kill, burglary, forgery, grand larceny and multiple DUS offenses. Several defendants received probation, fines, or weekend jail terms, with additional investigations for fraud involving equipment. Rescue squad divers aided a drowning victim recovery on Old Barnwell Road.
