Tour Saint-Jacques Offers Limited Views of Paris Skyline

The 177 foot Gothic bell tower reopened to the public last month after an $11 million three year renovation. Guided tours run Friday to Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. with 17 visitors per session and eight daily tours priced at 6 euros. Reservations required by 9 a.m. on tour day.

Lost astrolabe returns to Swedish museum after decade

A 1590 brass and silver astrolabe valued at about 750000 dollars has been recovered and will be returned to Skokloster Castle in Sweden this week. The Italian collector who found the piece did so after matching it to a missing list and declined any reward. The piece was stolen in 1999 amid a series of thefts at the castle.
