State Rejects License Bid By N A Bar

North Augusta officials refused to grant a liquor license to a bar run by the sons of a former owner whose liquor license was revoked for refusing to serve Black customers. An ABCC hearing officer cited the family ties to former Buffalo Room owners Rose and Bruce Salter and the bar’s lease to Tra Kim Inc. for denying the license, stating none of the owners had good moral character due to past discriminatory management from 1980 to 1989.
