The South Carolina State Library awards a 30000 Library Services and Technology Act grant to the Aiken Bamberg Barnwell Edgefield Regional Library System to create 45 Storytime kits for child care centers in Aiken Bamberg Barnwell and Edgefield. Kits include puppets flannel boards books fingerplays and songs with training for center staff. Brochures in English and Spanish will explain library services and card access beginning September while Bookworm Boxes launch starts in January. Call 642 7575 for details.

Stolen Cars and Lost Ring Reported Along with Lottery Numbers
A patrol officer found a Dodge Shadow with a broken rear window and flat tire, reported stolen from Gloverville, while a blue 1987 Spectrum from Price Auto Sales suffered front side damage. A Woodbine Road resident lost a five diamond 14K gold ring valued at 3000 dollars. A 14 year old was arrested for taking a CD without paying and released to a guardian.
