DOE safety panel to review SRP P-Reactor restart case

The Department of Energy advisory group will meet at Savannah River Plant Monday for a fact-finding on the P-Reactor restart after a four month shutdown. The panel will assess events from August 7 restart efforts to subsequent management actions and will report findings to the full committee in Washington on August 31.

Langley Pond Testing To Resume

Testing will resume at Langley Pond starting tomorrow at 9 a.m. for three to four days. RMT Inc. of Greenville conducts the sampling, using tubes to extract muck and reveal sediment layers.
