Amtrak Restores Nine Avela Express Trains to Service
Amtrak clears nine Avela Express trains to return to the Northeast Corridor with about 30 departures on Monday from Washington New York and Boston down from usual 50. Repairs progressed faster than planned after inspectors found cracks in shock absorbing assemblies beneath many locomotives.
