Head-on two vehicle crash kills Aiken man near home

A two vehicle crash on US 278 Tuesday afternoon claimed the life of John Andrew Neahons, 3, of Williston Road in Aiken. He died at the scene from multiple injuries after a westbound Ford Explorer crossed the center line and struck his eastbound Ford F-150. Driver Mamie H Bush of Williston Road was hospitalized with non life threatening injuries. The crash backed up traffic around 4 30 p.m. as crews cleared debris and investigated speeding cited as a contributing factor. Charges may follow after the investigation.

South Carolina posts 171.5 million fiscal year surplus
