Shooting Spree Leaves Four Injured on Front Porch
Four relatives were wounded when a man opened fire on a porch Sunday night. Billy Williams 34 was charged with two counts of assault with intent to kill. His brothers Benjamin 39 and Sylvester 43 were arrested for interfering with officers. A 9 year old girl Deborah Gaffney was struck in the eye and underwent surgery in Augusta and remained listed as fair. Deborah's sister Sara Ann Winfield 14 was treated and released. Daniel Gaffney 26 and Willie Winfield 33 were also struck but untreated. A 12 gauge shotgun was found in Williams's car nearby.
