Court dismisses Nevada bid to halt SRS plutonium shipment
A federal appeals panel ruled Nevada's 2018 lawsuit against the U S Department of Energy and the National Nuclear Security Administration moot after shipments from the Savannah River Site to the Nevada National Security Site occurred before the suit. The court left intact a lower court ruling, noting the remedy was no longer available. Nevada vows to press on with litigation.
