A Graniteville woman, 31-year-old Jessica Bell, was arrested on shoplifting and possession of prescription pills after an employee observed her conceal items on Old Depot Street. Bell admitted putting items in her purse. deputies found cleaning sponges, a car air freshener, pills, and a powder in her purse before detainment at the Aiken County detention center. A separate report notes a 45-year-old Aiken woman robbed after picking up a man at a Jefferson Davis Highway gas station. the suspect grabbed $50, struck the victim with a stick, and fled as another driver intervened. Authorities seek the assailant and the good-Samaritan driver.
