Seed pods not monsters from South Africa plant facts
Botanically a milkweed species from South Africa, the plant has green stems up to five feet, narrow leaves, white flowers, and follicles that split to release seeds with silky hairs. It is not an alien monster, though its spiny pods and inflated skin resemble a sci fi prop. John Nelson of the A C Moore Herbarium offers free identifications.
