Beech Island dentist dies in I 26 crash near Mile 66
Dr Clarissa Schmidt 52 of Beech Island died from blunt force head trauma after a single vehicle crash on I 26 near Mile Marker 66 in Newberry County. The Monaco motor home went off the road in late afternoon Aug 8. Schmidt was a passenger. The driver wore a seat belt and was uninjured. Autopsy Aug 9.
