City Opens Industrial Park Expansion After Sewer Line Upgrade
City Manager Roland Windham told the city council the Bridge Creek sewer line is now operational directing waste to the Savannah River treatment plant unlocking expansion of the Industrial Park. An advisory committee was formed after a study trip to Oak Ridge Tennessee to assess needs and remedies. Hughes cited a projected 1500 to 1600 new arrivals and retirees tied to the contractor transition, a figure later revised.
