With gas near 2.50 a gallon E-85 dips below 2.00 for FFVs while most cars use E-10 or E-15. FFVs can run on E-85 and lower blends. DOE projects E-85 could cut U.S. gasoline demand by 30 percent or more by 2030, and ethanol use in 2006 saved carbon dioxide equivalent across emissions.
