Aiken County Methane Well Makes First Royalty Payment
J M Huber Corp presented Aiken County Council with 182 as the first royalty for methane gas from the Langley landfill. The SC project, first in the state, uses 150000 cubic feet daily with a plan to reach 300000, supplying fuel for Huber’s clay dryers and blending with natural gas. James C. Marvin said royalties may rise toward about 5000 annually.
