Stewart finds law enforcement a brain game of investigations
Lawrence P. Stewart, 42, of Aiken, shares why he joined the Public Safety Department in 1970 as a patrolman and rose to detective with a focus on solving cases. He notes investigations demand turning little information into proof and contrasts investigative work with patrol duty. He values the private hours and plans to retire from the force.
