States to receive govd housing aid in foreclosures
The Obama administration will send 600 million to five states to aid up to 50,000 homeowners. Ohio leads with 172 million, followed by North Carolina 159 million, South Carolina 138 million, Oregon 88 million, and Rhode Island 43 million. The Treasury approved total 2.1 billion for 10 states, with ongoing efforts to reduce mortgage burdens amid high unemployment.
