Scottish Open added to PGA Tour schedule and alliance
The Genesis Scottish Open joins the PGA Tour schedule as the first sanctioned event in Scotland not tied to the claret jug. The season links the PGA Tour with the European Tour, allowing cross participation and dual points, with 50 European Tour members eligible for the Barbasol Championship and Barracuda Championship as the same weeks as the Scottish and British Opens. The WGC events in Mexico City and Memphis’ FedEx St Jude are removed or realigned, reflecting a broader alliance promising growth over the next decade.
