Target Stores relocates its Aiken job fair to the new build site behind Hampton Inn on Whiskey Road to handle over 400 applications for about 190 positions. The three day event August 10 to 12 features tents, food, a clown, a moon walk, and two sections for traditions and applications. Thurson Wang praises Aiken’s workforce and notes October store opening near completion.

Greeneway's Trestle II marks anniversary in North Augusta
North Augusta notes the Greeneway trail anniversary with a June 1996 dedication of the original 32 mile segment by the city and National Trails Day. Phase II opened in 1998, extending from Martins Town Road to Pisgah Road, and a 0.5 mile paving addition last June brought the total to eight miles one way.
