Guardian Ad Litem volunteer training to begin August

Training sessions start August 7 at the Woodside Executive Park office. Ed Carroll coordinates the four Thursday sessions in August to prepare volunteers to interview, investigate, report findings, and make recommendations to the Family Court judge. Peggy Ford of Children's Place notes guardians ad litem provide an independent child voice in court. more than 230 kids in Aiken County are represented by volunteers, with growing demand since 1983.
