Everest climbing season ends after earthquake and avalanche
All climbers on the Nepal side have left Mount Everest following a deadly quake in Nepal and an avalanche at base camp. North side teams near Tibet were recalled to base camp with talks under way on possible summit attempts in the few weeks left. Erik Ballinger of Alpenglow Expeditions and Eric Simonson of International Mountain Guides note the Khumbu Icefall was impassable and the last climbers are exiting.
