Rivera tied to multiple Augusta area crimes
Rivera 38 of North Augusta spent Friday night at Augusta hospital after a possible overdose. He is accused in the September and June 2000 murders of local women and linked to violent assaults in 2000. He remains on suicide watch at the Augusta jail while defense requests alter medication. Rivera faces charges including aggravated assault, aggravated sodomy and rape in the 18 year old Augusta attack case.
