Burglaries Turn Deadly at Trenton Convenience Store
Two men Efrem Nipper and Trah Best were shot by the store owner while stealing seven beer cases from Twin Lakes Food Mart on Bettis Academy Road. They were hospitalized, charged with second degree burglary, and held for extradition after being found by police. The owner, 61-year-old Robert McFerrin, said the store had been burglarized 26 times in 15 years.
