New Ellenton man charged after threat to blow up medical center
Richard D. Bowles Sr., 50, of New Ellenton, is charged with conveying false information regarding attempted use of a destructive device after threatening to blow up the Margaret J. Weston Medical Center in Clearwater during a failed attempt to obtain services. He surrendered Wednesday and is free on bond. The incident prompted a sheriff's office response and area cordon.
