Devon M Broaden of North Augusta High School received the National Achievement Scholarship for 2500 dollars. Tatiana Hoover of Aiken High School placed second in the Regional Vocal Competition of the National Association of Teachers of Singing in Columbia in the classical division for upperclassmen with pieces by Mozart and Purcell. East Aiken Elementary won a Kroger Earning Plus Learning Grant. teachers Brenda Callahan Jan Catotti and Linda Walker authored the proposal and will accept the award at a May 5 celebration.
