Gulf War veterans may have exposure link to illnesses

Pentagon says tens of thousands of Gulf War soldiers may have been overexposed to pesticides and pest strips during the 1991 war. About 41,000 service members likely faced exposure, with 30,500 at risk from pest strips, 7,000 from spraying, and 3,500–4,500 among highly exposed applicators. The report, based on interviews, literature review, and RAND analysis, notes no widespread diagnosis linked, but supports veterans’ concerns and stress the need for accurate health records.
