Turner County High School prom blends races in first official event
In Ashburn Georgia Turner County High School held its first official prom inviting all seniors as a unified event. Black and white students attended together amid lingering past traditions with two thirds of seniors buying tickets while some white students still joined private parties. Superintendent Ray Jordan praised student leadership and principal Chad Stone funded the effort with 10 000 dollars.
