Craven faces new gun charge in Edgefield County case
North Augusta officer Craven was charged after a shooting incident that left Satterwhite’s vehicle damaged near his Edgefield home. He remains a city employee in building standards while also serving as Beech Island VFD fire chief. The case, now including a felony count for discharging a firearm into a vehicle, will be prosecuted by the 11th Circuit Solicitor’s Office. The incident follows a prior indictment for official misconduct in office and a failed no bill on voluntary manslaughter. A recent wrongful death settlement in Satterwhite’s favor totaling about 1.2 million was recorded with dismissal of further claims.
