A 2.7 magnitude quake struck at 2 28 a m in the Ardsley Dobbs Ferry area of southern Westchester prompting numerous calls to police and radio stations. No damage or injuries were reported. It was the fourth tremor in six months near the New York City area, following a 4.0 quake in October and a 3.3 aftershock two days later.
